The Best There Never Was: Wrestlemania 29 Predictions
The Road to Wrestlemania is in full gear after Sunday’s
Elimination Chamber PPV. So it is about
time for some serious Wrestlemania predictions.
This isn’t how I want Wrestlemania to go but how I think it will
actually go. If I had my way it would be Punk/Taker for the title and the streak would be over., but that's probably not going to happen. So the matches that will actually/probably/may possibly happen are after the break:
Matches that will happen:
Matches that will happen:
The Rock vs John Cena for the WWE Championship
I know that we are having Cena/Punk next week on Raw for the
WWE title shot but does anybody actually think CM Punk is going to beat John
Cena and stop Rock/Cena from happening?
It is still possible that somehow we have a Triple Threat match for the
title but that seems unlikely.

For all these marbles |
Alberto Del Rio vs Jack Swagger for the World Heavyweight
Championship
I was as surprised as anybody that Jack Swagger won the
title shot in the Elimination Chamber but at least we now know what the opening
match at Wrestlemania will be. All
kidding aside, this match reminds me of John Bradshaw Layfield’s feud with the
late Eddie Gurrero, which also used a similar illegal immigrant storyline. Nobody has ever questioned Swagger’s in ring
ability but now that he has Zeb Colter as his mouthpiece his character has
become a lot more interesting. And Alberto
Del Rio as a face plays better than I ever thought it would. But none of this matters because Dolph
Ziggler will be the World Heavyweight Champion by the end of Wrestlemania.
Some random Divas match that nobody cares about.
Matches that probably will happen:
Daniel Bryan vs Kane
Team Hell No has had a far better run than they ever should
have. All good things must come to an
end so it is only fitting that they go one-on-one at Wrestlemania. And the winner of this match should get the
Tag Team Championship and then pick a new partner after Wrestlemania.
Triple H vs Brock Lesnar
The last time Vince McMahon and Paul Heyman were in the ring
together Brock Lesnar made his return and gave the F-5 to the boss. This coming week on Raw when Vince returns to
deal with Heyman we will more than likely see Brock getting involved again. It is the perfect opportunity for Triple H to
make his return and take up for his father-in-law. There will probably end up being some type of
stipulation for this match, possibly a submission match.
Matches that may possible happen:
CM Punk vs The Undertaker
With nothing else for Punk on the horizon and The Undertaker
still without an opponent for Wrestlemania, I would put my money on this more
than anything else. If Punk does somehow
get involved in the WWE Championship match then the next logical choice for
Taker would be Brock Lesnar.
Ryback vs Chris Jericho
I think that after the 6-man tag team match on Raw this week
we may be heading towards a Ryback/Jericho match at Wrestlemania. I would much rather see Ryback/Sheamus but I
have a feeling that isn’t going to happen.
And if Jericho is involved with The Shield this would get them involved
at Wrestlemania.
Sheamus vs Wade Barrett
Somehow I have a feeling like this will happen with nothing on the horizon for either of these superstars.
This still leaves Randy Orton, The Big Show, Mark Henry, and
scores of others without anything specific coming up. But over the next couple weeks we will get a
clearer picture of what Wrestlemania will shape up to be.
