R.I.P Leonard Nimoy

Sad news today, as Mr. Spock has been beamed up for the last time.  Science Fiction Icon Leonard Nimoy died early this morning in his Bel-Air home of obstructive pulmonary disease at the age of 83.  A disease caused by the actor smoking habit he gave up 30 years ago.  While I am not a Trekkie, Nimoy's impact on pop culture and science fiction was unprecedented and if there was a Mount Rushmore of Geekdom he would surely be on it.  Mr. Spock will live long and prosper in world of science fiction until the end of time, R.I.P Mr. Nimoy.

Please feel free to share your favorite Leonard Nimoy/Spock memories in the comments!

Check it out: Arrow and Flash Superhero Team Spin-off in the works

Looks like the CW superhero line-up is expanding.  According to Deadline there is a TV project in the works that would feature Black Canary (Caty-Lotz Star), Atom (Brandon Routh), FIRESTORM (Robbie Amell and Victor Gaber), and Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller) as well as  three other unknown DC heroes in a Superhero team-up show. Without knowing who the mystery three will be, this line-up raises some big questions in the form of the Black Canary character which I not comment on any further to avoid any spoilers.

Considering the amount of time and money put into bringing high profile actors such as Brandon Routh to the CW, many assumed the next step would be an Atom spin-off series especially with the amount of labor put into his high-profile move like suit that was recently revealed.  As of now it seems like the consensus is that Grant Gustin's Flash or Stephen Amell's Arrow will not be series regular's for this show.  Also I would not expect any villains to join the roster, since the DC TV universe already has an established Suicide Squad roster.  This would most likely rule out someone like Manu Bennet's Deathstroke.  One thing is for sure DC has immense amount confidence in it's TV brand, now only if it could capture that same magic on the big screen.  Our dream scenario would bring the Justice Society of America to out TV's this Fall starring John Diggle as the next Green Lantern!

Let us know what you think of this new upcoming DC Superhero team in the comments!

Also who would be your choice for the three open spots on the show's roster?

Check it out: Mondo Godzilla 2014 by Randy Ortiz

Reg, 24x36, limited to 275, $45

Variant, 24x36, limited to 150, $65

Mondo is finally getting around to releasing another poster for Gareth Edward's 2014 Godzilla reboot.  The last two posters they have done for this franchise were only available at SDCC and SXSW, so this is the first Godzilla print available directly through Mondo.  As much as I like this poster, if you get the regular edition are most people going to be able to even tell it's a Godzilla poster? Probably not, now if you are able to snag the variant who the subject of the poster is isn't a mystery.  I wish artist Randy Ortiz would have focused on a different angle to capture the iconic reptiles entire body.  Bust shot's however are Ortiz most recent trend as seen in his last few Marvel prints.  You can grab the King of Monsters today at the Mondo Store at a random time.

Let us know what you think of the poster or just the 2014 Godzilla redesign in general in the comments!

Check it out: Iron Man Avengers Age of Ultron Teaser poster/announcement

Earlier today Robert Downey Jr. took to his Facebook page to reveal his Avengers Age of Ultron poster, and tease a big Marvl Studios announcement.  The Billionaire, Playboy, and Philanthropist had the following to say:

"Got a little somethin for ya, folks. Just cuz you’re awesome, check out this new Iron Man poster for Avengers #AgeOfUltron.
And don’t tell 'em I told you, but there’s a big announcement coming in 8 days… Shhhhhhh… #getexcited"

If we had to guess Downey is most likely teasing the reveal of who will be the next Spiderman for Sony and Disney.  Spiderman is expected to appear alongside Cap and Iron Man in Captain America: Civil War out May 6th 2016.

Thanks to Robert Downey Jr.'s Facebook for the poster and the announcement tease!

Let us know what you think of the poster, and the announcement in the comments?

Batman Arkham Knight: Gotham is mine trailer

A day after Batman Arkham Knight received an M-rating, rocksteady has released the latest trailer for the June 2nd next gen.  game.  What pops for me in this incarnation of the Arkham Franchise is the evolution of the villain's costumes, the Riddler and Poison Ivy look particulary stunning.  As expected the the trailer shows off the Scarecrow as the main baddie, and some more Batmobile action which looks a bit more polished.

Let us know what you think about the new Arkham Knight trailer in the comments!

Check it out: The Rock teases Shazam sooner rather than later!

On the Red Carpet at last Sunday's Oscar's The Rock said to maybe expect Shazam and the character he will be playing Shazam's nemesis: The Black Adam a little sooner than 2019.  Does this mean the release will  be pushed up? Or will we see Shazam or Black Adam in the Justice League film come 2017? One thing for sure $ aside The Rock seems to be legitimately pumped to play Black Adam.

Are you as excited to see Shazam and or Black Adam on the big screen as The Rock is?

Check it out: Hot Toys Avengers Age of Ultron HULK

Hot Toys has revealed there Hulk figure from Avengers: Age of Ultron.  The figure will have not only two head sculpts, but two alternate torsos.  I know what you are thinking what is different for this, than the last Hot Toy's Hulk.  First off notice the elastic pants that will solve certain wardrobe malfunctions for Dr. Banner.  Also if you reference the photo (RIGHT) you can see the sculptors of the figure did age the sculpt to provide basically a brand new product for collectors.  I don't know if I like this version as much as the original Hulk from Avengers, but you have to respect Hot Toy's ability to evolve a product.  Expect this Hulk to smash your wallet, because if recent Hot Toy's prices are any indication this Hulk could cost at least $375 but stand over 16.5 Inches tall! You should be able to order this big guy over at by the end of the week.

Let us know what you think of the new Hot Toys Hulk Head Sculpt in the comments!

Check it out: Avengers Age of Ultron Team Poster

Checkout the terrible photoshopped team poster for Joss Whedon and Marvel Studios: Avengers Age of Ultron out May 1st.  You think for a film that is almost certain to be a billion dollar blockbuster they could afford a better poster.  Here's hoping the Mondo Version is EPIC!

What do you think of the poster? Let us know in the comments!

Check it out: Batman Arkham Knight to be rated M for MATURE

The final installment  in the Batman Arkham video game series: Batman Arkham Knight which will be released on June 2nd will be the first in the franchise's history to be rated M for MATURE.  Rock Steady the Studio behind the critically acclaimed series say's it was never their intention to cater the game toward a certain rating, but rather to make the best finale they possibly could for the series.  Rock Steady claims to have never have aimed for a certain rating in the past from the Entertainment Software Rating Board, although they all happened to be rated T for Teen.  Based on rating it would seem that the version of Batman we will see in Arkham Knight will be the darkest modern  incarnation of the character regardless of medium.  Think about it we have never had an R-Rated Batman film, a MAX rated Batman comic, or a TV-MA rated Batman television series.  Looks like fans of the Caped Crusader may get the unfiltered version of the character and his Rogue Gallery that we have always hoped for.

Let us know what you think for finally getting a Mature version of the Batman in the Comments.  DO you think it will hurt sales of the game?

Check it out: Joss Whedon finally explains why Hank Pym isn't in Avengers

In a recent Interview with Empire Magazine talking Avengers: Age of Ultron out May 1st.  Joss Whedon finally answered why Ant-man wasn't in his version of the Avengers:

"Of all the heat I’ve ever taken, not having Hank Pym was one of the bigger things. But the fact of the matter was, Edgar had him first and by virtue of what Edgar was doing, there was no way for me to use him in this. I also thought it was a bridge too far. Ultron needs to be the brainchild of the Avengers, and in the world of the Avengers and the MCU, Tony Stark is that guy. Banner has elements of that guy – we don’t really think of him as being as irresponsible as Tony Stark, but the motherfucker tested gamma radiation on himself, with really terrible, way-worse-than-Tony-Stark results.

It didn’t make sense to introduce a third scientist, a third sciencetician, to do that. It was hard for me, because I grew up on the comics, to dump that, but at the end of the day, it’s a more interesting relationship between Tony and Ultron if Tony was once like, ‘You know what would be a really great idea?’ They’re doing what they always do – which is jump in headfirst, and then go, ‘Sorry, world!’ But you have to make it their responsibility without just making it their fault."

There you have the answer: too many scientist and Edgar Wright was working on the character.  While I am a huge Hank Pym fan from the Marvel Comics, his explanation makes perfect sense.  The creation of Ultron for the MCU will mean more coming from everyone's favorite billionaire, playboy, and philanthropist than it would a brand new character.  Also you have to admire Whedon's respect for the work of Edgar Wright which sadly he did not get to finish.  Regardless hopefully at some point Ant-Man will make an Avengers roster!

What do you think about the lack of Ant-Man in the Avengers film? Comic Reader were you upset?

Check it out: Spiderman may not be white after all

The latest Spiderman casting rumor circulating is that Sony would prefer the next Spiderman not to be white.  According to the rumor however this may not mean African-American but possibly Hispanic, or if they go the Miles Morales route like a lot of fans want, perhaps both.  Remember Mile's Dad in the comics is African-American with his Mother being of Hispanic decent.  Now this contradicts earlier rumors that both Disney and Sony wanted a White Peter Parker Spiderman.  While I am not in favor of turning Peter Parker black just for the sake of making a 24 hour news cycle, it could be in the best interest of both Studio's to let the next Spiderman be Miles Morales.  This allows Marvel to inject some much needed diversity into their future Avengers rosters, while at the same time telling a brand new Spidey origin story that most of America does not know.

To hear one of the best Spiderman movie fan theories ever regarding the identity of the next wall crawler , read after the break......

Check it out: House of Card Season 3 Teaser, what are you looking at?

Frank Underwood want's to know what you are looking at in one of the last House of Card's Season 3 Teaser's.  One thing is for sure come Friday night most of us will be looking at the newest season of House of Card's on Netflix.

If you plan on binge watching the 3rd Season of House of Card's this weekend let us know in the comments!

Check it out: Agents of SHIELD mid-season 2 Teaser

The best part of the Oscar's last night was ABC's tease of the Mid-Season 2 Premiere of Marvel's Agents of SHIELD that will return Tuesday March 3rd.  As you can see things are getting very Quakey, and anyone who read a certain Jonathan Hickman and Brian Michael Bendis secretive comic from the last ten years can see where the show is heading.  Avoiding spoilers that's really all I can see, but for all of you that gave up on this show 4 episode in, shame on you!

For those of you that stuck with Agent's of SHIELD, how are you enjoying the show? Let us know in the comments!

Check it out: Taron Egerton rumored for Young Han Solo

Rumor is that Taron Egerton only really known now for playing Eggsy in Kingsman: The Secret Service is apparently the choice by Disney to be the next Han Solo.  Egerton would play the role in one of the upcoming Star Wars Spin-off film's that would revolve around Han acquiring the Millennium Falcon.  If they go on previous Star War's history expect the longest film about a card game since 21, as Han is supposed to win the Falcon in a card game against Lando Calrissian.  However I am sure the film would follow adventures that ensue after and before the game of Sabacc.  I like Egerton for the role you have to have a certain amount of Swagger to even think about playing Han Solo, and anyone who has seen Kingsman knows this young actor has that.

Anyone who has seen Kingsman, what do you think about Eggsy being the next Han? Let us know in the comments!

Netflix for the Poor Kids: Chef Review

The movie that showed up on nearly every major critic’s top ten list of 2014 is finally on Netflix: Jon Favreau’s Chef.  The hype surrounding a movie about a hot shot Chef turned food truck and viral marketing sensation, was always a mystery to me.  While I love Favreau’s work acting and directing which he does both of here, it just never sounded like that interesting of a premise. However the secret to Chef is in the ingredients, which you can find after the break….

Check it out: Mission Impossible 5 stops production

Just a month after being moved up from Christmas 2015 to July 31st Mission Impossible 5 has halted production in London.  The reason: to figure out an ending.  That's right a film that was just moved up by Paramount went into production without and ending.  Sound familiar? That's because Paramount did the same thing with World War Z, and they had a book to adapt from with that film.  This sad news about MI5, shows the perfect example of of quality over quantity with Hollywood's current blockbuster first studio system.  The best thing to do here for the audience would be to freeze production, bring Damon Lindeloff end to write the ending and release this at the end of Summer 2017.  Joking, about the Lindeloff bit however let's hope that Director Chris Mcquarrie can figure this out and continue the quality run that J.J Abrams and Brad Bird have set this franchise on!

What do you think about the current status of MI5? Should Paramount delay the release? Let us know in the comments!

Check it out: Steven Spielberg hopes to direct Christ Pratt in Indiana Jones 5

According to Steven Spielberg once he has a script in hand he would love to direct Chris Pratt in the next Indiana Jones film.  While I will never say that I do not want Spielberg to direct a Indiana Jones film, I just feel like that if Disney is going to move forward with a new Indy, it may be time for a new director too.  Harrison Ford was Spielberg's Indy, why not let the next director have his.  My picks off the top of my head are Colin Trevvorow if Jurassic World is decent or James Gunn, they both have experience directing Pratt in very Indy like roles already so why not pursue what works.  Not that any of this matters, by the time Disney has a script who knows if Spielberg will feel the same way.

Do you think that Spielberg should direct the next Indy incarnation? Let us know in the comments!

Check it out: 1st look at Jason Momoa as Aquaman

Zack Snyder surprised the internet yesterday once again by revealing a pic of Jason Momoa in his full Aquaman gear from Batman Vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice, out March 23rd 2016, and Justice League Part 1, out November 17th 2017.  Honestly, this is exactly what I would expect a WB/DC film version of Aquaman to look like.  Remove all color and joy for sleekness and grittiness, a process that I refer to on the Confirmed Epic Pocdcast as Nolanization, named in honor of how the great Chris Nolan handled the last Batman trilogy.  Personally, I like the direction WB and Zack Snyder are taking their film universe by making fantastical thing as grounded as possible.  I believe it separates the DC film brand from Marvel Studios.  You also have to assume that the caption,"Unite the Seven" refers to the seven most likely members of the Justice League film roster: Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Aquaman, Green Lantern, and Cyborg.

What do you think of the film version Aquaman? Or the direction of the DC Cinematic Universe in general? Please let us know in the comments!

Check it out: Neill Blomkamp to reimagine the Alien Universe with his next film

It looks like the man who brought us District 9, Elysium, and this March Chappie has found his next film: Alien.  After some leaked Blomkamp Alien concept art hit last week featuring Ripley (SigourneyWeaver) as some sort of Alien within that Fox Studio's universe the geek community begin to buzz about the possibilities.  At first dismissed as simple concept art and fan speculation that concept art seems to be legit and from the next Alien film that will be directed by Blomkamp.  The film isn't being called a remake, but a re-imagining.  The difference between remake and re-imaging seems like a fine line, but it appears the film will focus on some sort of alternate fate for Ellen Ripley.  Maybe we could be dealing with an alternate timeline? At this point the story is developing, but stay tuned to the epic review for future updates on this project!

What do you guys think about a Neill Blomkamp Alien
re-imagining? let us know in the comments!

Check it out: Gremlins 2 Mondo Poster

Reg. 24x36 limited to 300, $45

Mondo is finally allowing Rhys Cooper to do a follow up to his epic 2009 Gremlin's print.  One thing is noticeable immediate these posters are up to old school eye popping Mondo standards.  The variant will add metallic and glow in the dark paint.  While recent Mondo posters have not skyrocketed on the secondary market expect this one to, while Gremlins 2 : The New Batch isn't the all time classic the original is, but Gremlins has a pretty ravenous fan base so expect this one to sell out in minutes.  These will go on sale at the Mondo Site later today at a random time.  My only complaint here is the lack of Gizmo, while I realize this poster focuses on the more notorious version of the characters; I wish Cooper could have fit the little furry guy in somewhere!

Variant, 24x36, Limited to 130, $65

What do you guys think of Gremlins2: The New Batch? Is it as good as the original?

Check it Out: Nightcrawler will be in X-men Apocalypse

Many X-men fan's favorite mutant will be back for X-men Apocalypse on Memorial Day Weekend 2016, that's right NightCrawler will be in Bryan Singer's next X-men film.  This time around the teleporting Kurt Wagner will be younger played by star of The Road: Kodi-Smit Mcphee.  While I was not a fan of The Road, Mchpee was probably the strongest part of that film so it will be interesting to see him in the fold with the other group of New Mutants Apocalypse has in store. Alan Cumming's portrayal of the character in X:2 still lives in Marvel Cinematic lore, so Mcphee will have a big jumpsuit to fill; then again so did Michael Fassbender as Magneto!

How do you guys feel about Nightcrawler being announced for
X-men Apocalypse? Let us know in the comments!

Movie Review: Kingsman: The Secret Service

At the route of the film Kingman is about a father and a son!

From the warped mind of comic book creator/hype man Mark Millar and under the Direction and writing of the man who brought you X-men First Class: Matthew Vaughn comes: Kingsman: The Secret Service a film revolving around a covert organization that to the rest of the world seems like a group of the best dressed tailors in England, but in all actuality have prevented thousands of World Crises abroad.  So was the move Vaughn made to walk away from X-men Days of Future Past to team up with his bud Millar worth it? Find out after the break….

Check it out: Hot Toy's New Hope Obi Wan

Hot Toys has revealed their latest Star Wars 1/6 scale figure based on Alec Guinness's portrayal of the character from A New Hope.  This figure will compliment the New Hope Vader that was recently revealed.  If the Vader price point is any indication expect this figure be around $300 and most likely to begin shipping in early 2016. should have this up for pre-order later this week.  No doubt this is one of the best sculpts that Hot Toy's has ever done, and the attention to detail on Obi Wan's accessories is pretty impressive.  The only problem is the quality of these products has become so high, so have the prices.

What do you all think of this sculpt? Insane right? Let us know in the comments!

Check it out: Platinum Dunes Studio Head Offers Jason Update

According to one of the Studio head's of Platinum Dunes, the next Friday the 13th film scheduled for May 2016 may focus on Jason's immortality.  In other words why does this guy keep coming back other than for the Studio to make money.  Here is what Brad Fuller at Platinum Dune's a Michael Bay Production company had to say about the future of the franchise:

"There’s always been this supernatural aspect to these movies. It defies logic that, you see Jason get killed in every movie, including ours, the 2009 one. And then he comes back and no one’s ever really investigated what that is. So that’s something that I think about a little bit. Like it is supernatural, but what is he? Those are the things that we’re toying with. Nothing has been decided. But those type of things: How does he always come back?

People traditionally want to understand exactly how and why things happen, and yet something so odd happens at the end of these movies and no one seems to question it. So people come to the movie with the expectation that the real villain will be killed and come back. And yet we never toyed with that notion….Those are the things that we’re asking ourselves. And we’ll see what comes of it.”

Sound's like an interesting concept, but I think I would like to see the Jason found footage anthology film that was rumored a few year's back.  At least they are trying to do something with the character that Barbecue 17 call's the most boring of all the Slasher Icon's!

How would you like to see the future of the Friday the 13th Franchise handled? Let us know in the comments!

Check it out: Colossus will be in Deadpool

It appears that Colossus will appear alongside the Merc with a Mouth in next year's Deadpool film set to open Valentine's Day Weekend 2016.  Rumor is that Daniel Cudmore who has served as the cinematic Colossus for FOX will remain in the role.  In other Deadpool news MMA star Gina Carano and comedian TJ Miller have joined the cast.  Anyone who has seen the comedic relief Miller provided in Transformers 4 can begin banging their head against the wall now!  Personally I like the move to bring in Cudmore's Colossus, Peter Rasputin is a major player in the X-men universe with a big fan following who hasn't got his due on screen time.

Are you excited about Colossus joining Deadpool on screen? Let us know in the comments!

UPDATE: Fox has announced Colossus will be re-cast for the film!

Check it out: Joel Kinnaman is the new Rick Flag in Suicide Squad

The man that replaced Peter Weller as Robocop will now replace Tom Hardy as Rick Flag in WB's Suicide Squad film which is expected August 5th 2016.  For anyone who has seen the 2014 Robocop reboot you know that Joel Kinnerman leaves a lot to be desired, he along with Jai Courtney who is playing Boomerang are just modern action film JAG's.  Then again when I asked the majority of my comic loving pals who Rick Flag is, the majority of them scratch their head's, and say who? So maybe this is the perfect role for Kinnerman.  All of a sudden the Suicide Squad film just got a lot less interesting!

For those of you who saw the Robocop reboot what is you opinion on Kinnerman? Also if you have ever actually read a comic with Rick Flag in it please let us know in the comments!

Check it out: Crimson Peak Trailer and Poster

Checkout the first trailer above for what Guillermo Del Toro is calling his masterpiece: Crimson Peak.  This film has been one of the most hyped horror film in years, but judging from the trailer it looks like it will be a better period piece than a horror film.  Then again Del Toro might just be saving the best scares for October 16th.  This film stars Tom Hiddelston and Jessica Chastain. Checkout the teaser poster, left.

So how excited are you for Del Toro's Crimson Peak? Does this film even look scary? Let us know in the comments!

Check it out: Happy Friday the 13th from Mondo

To celebrate today be Friday February 13th 2015, Mondo is releasing a brand new Jason Poster based on Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives.  The poster comes from Phantom City creative and will go on sale at a random time today at the Mondo Store. This one will measure 24x36 and have a production run of 250.  I like the poster, but just like previous Jason posters the company has done it's just a bit plain for my liking, but then again so it the Friday the 13th franchise!

Let us know what you guys think about the poster in the comments!

Check it out: BTAS Batmobile revealed at Toy Fair

Anyone who reads this blog knows that Toy Fair is basically like Christmas in February for collectors, many of us refresh our favorite sites in anticipation for the next big reveal from the retailer show.  Well before the show even starts today DC Collectibles may have already revealed the most jaw dropping product of the show: The BTAS: Batmobible.  This aesthetically pleasing slick design is based on the 1992 show, measures 24 inched longs, has working headlights, and will fit two DC Collectibles BTAS 6 inch figures.  While this batmobile has never been my favorite like the 66 and 89 versions are, you have to admire the craft and labor of DC Collectibles to bring this product right to life off the animation cell.  This is up for pre-order now at BBTS for only $85, so just like Barbecue 17 head over their and pre-order yours now for an October 2015 release!

So will any of you Collectors be picking this one up? If so what do you think of the $85 price point? Also where does this batmoble rank among your list? Let us know in the comments!

Check it out: Ryan Reynolds teases Deadpool Costume

Ryan Reynolds took to his Twitter account yesterday to tease part of his Deadpool costume for the upcoming film based on the Merc with a Mouth that is expected Valentine's Day Weekend 2016.  Based on the test footage and this shot it seems like the Dead Pool costume will remain very true to the comics rather than opting for a flashy movie version, of course all that could change in post production.

What do you guys think of the costume so far? Are you as excited to see Reynolds return to the role as we are? Let us know in the comments!

Check it out: The Rock Reveals Black Adam VS. Batman Vs. Superman Fight

In in a recent interview The Rock revealed this interesting plot Nugget about a future epic fight we could see him be a part of as part of the DC Cinematic Universe in the near future:

"It was all agreed that the worlds are all interconnected… One day you will see Black Adam go at it with Superman or Batman or any of the DC characters. But that said, there’s a great independence to Black Adam from the DC world, allowing us to inject, not only viciousness, but also winking humor."

This all comes as interesting news considering at first Black Adam was not even supposed to be apart of the DCCU.  While words could not describe how epic it would be to see Clark and Bruce take on the Black Adam on film this seems a little bit like The Rock speculating.  Sure this fight could happen especially considering the current landscape of comic book movies, but it sounds like something more that The Rock would like to see happen.

Do any of you care that much about the Black Adam Character and his film adaptation? Let us know in the comments!

Check it out: Hit Man Agent 47 Trailer

Exit Timothy Olyphant enter Rupert Friend as the new agent 47.  Checkout the first trailer for the new Hit Man film that opens August 28th above.  One element sticks out is the high production quality compared the older version of the Hit Man films.  It seems this time around that Hollywood is banking on Hit Man being a late Summer Blockbuster!

Check it out: Logan Lerman and Dylan O' Brien rumored for new Spiderman

Word is that Sony and Marvel Studios have reached to two 23 year young actors to potentially play the new Spiderman, and considering both are white guys it looks like the new Spidey will remain Peter Parker.  The names are Dylan O' Brien (Maze Runner, seen above) and Logan Lerman (Percy Jackson, seen left).  Both are very solid choices, but rumor is this is just the beginning of the search.  However this news does seem to confirm our earlier suspicions that indeed the two studios are looking for a younger Spidey.  According to sources Andrew Garfield has officially been contacted with the news that he was considered for the role, but wasn't chosen to return as Spidey to avoid any convolution.

What do you think about these two choices for Spidey? Fans of Maze Runner and Percy Jackson please let us know in the comments!

Our Top 5 Potential Spidermen

Upon news that Marvel and Sony will now share the Spiderman character rapid speculation has begun on who will don the iconic red and blue tights for the two studios.  As of early Tuesday morning, Disney and Sony confirmed that they will indeed be going with a high school aged version of the character.  That didn't stop us, however, from making our dream list of who we would like to see play the famous Web-Head.  You can find our top 5 choices after the break……

Check it out: Hot Toys Ultron

Hot Toys has revealed their 1/6 Scale Ultron figure, based on James Spader's version of the Character in Marvel Studio's Avengers: Age of Ultron in theaters May 1st.  Expect this figure to cost between $250 and $275 and be available for pre-order at within the next day.  So unless you have no strings on you wallet this one may be out of alot of our price ranges. The element that set's this figure apart are the number of LED lights on the character and base.  Notice how the base is derived for the Avengers 2 Teaser poster.

What do you readers think of the Hot Toy's Ultron? Will anyone be picking it up? Let us know in the comments!

Check it out: Patrick Stewart and Ian Mckellen to return for the Wolverine 3

According to Patrick Stewart, he and Ian Mckellen may be back to reprise their respective roles as Professor X and Magneto in Wolverine 3 due out March 3rd 2017

Here is what Patrick Stewart had to say at a recent press event:

"What I’m very excited about is that we have been talking about a Wolverine movie, which would team Hugh Jackman and myself together,”

"Wolverine and Professor Xavier. That would be a very different sort of ‘X-Men’ from the four movies that I’ve already done.”

"Magneto, Ian McKellen, is certainly going to be in it.”
This comes as a bit of surprise as the two men said they were done playing Eric and Charles during the press round's for X-men: Days of Future Past.  However anytime you can bring back the original on-screen Ambassadors of Mutant-kind we are all for it.  Let us know what you think in the comments!

UPDATE: According to our own Andrew Stokes Ian Mckellen is in talks for X-men Apocalypse out May27th 2016, not Wolverine 3!

Check it Out: Halloween Re-Calibration moving forward at Dimension

Dimension Film's has decided to move forward with what that are calling a Halloween Re-Caliberation.  While terms like reboot and remake are common place among film geeks, I have no Idea what a Re-Caliberation is, but it does not sound good.  Even worse it seems that the group of writers that worked on the Saw sequel's have been brought in to do a script treatment.  With a term like Re-Calibration it seems Dimension has no Idea the direction that want to take the Michael Myers character, and the fact that Saw sequel writers are being brought in only works to confirm that assumption.  This news would however seem to squash the last Halloween rumor we heard of Rob Zombie moving forward with Halloween 3-D.

How would you like to see the Hallween Franchise and Michael Myers Character handled moving forward? Is it time to let this iconic horror fiend met his own death? Let us know in the comments!

Check it out: Fanboy Dream come true, Spiderman joins the MCU

Spiderman has finally come home! After months and months of speculation following the Sony hack and years of wishing by fan boys Spiderman is now officially part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.  A deal was struck last night that will allow Sony and Disney to share the character, allowing Spiderman to show up in the MCU and MCU characters to show up in Sony Spiderman films.  The new Spiderman who has been confirmed not to be Andrew Garfield and will fist appear in Captain America 3: Civil War on May 6th 2016 then get his own solo movie on July 28th 2017.  As a result Thor 3: Ragnarok has been pushed to November 3rd 2017 and Sony has now scrapped the Sinister 6 film.  This comes as an epic surprise to this group of writers considering we just discussed how Spidey was dwindling from the public conscious on our most recent podcast.  The co-produced stories Sony and Disney can now tell are limitless and so is the money they will begin to print, but fans of the Webhead should be the true winner considering that now Marvel Studio's Kevin Feige will produce the stand alone Spidey film for Marvel.

Let us know what you think about the Web Slinger coming home in the comments?
